Therapy for people who want to thrive
Have you wondered how to live a more fulfilled and meaningful life, especially during these challenging times? What can you do to feel less anxious and stressed? What are some strategies you can use to flourish and to live life to the fullest?
My name is Dr. Christine Vitale and I am here to help you launch your flourishing journey. My goal as a psychologist is to help enable everyone to pursue a more mindful, meaningful, and connected life, and to integrate all experiences ranging from trauma to success into a cohesive sense of self. No matter what your starting point is, you have always room to grow!
Guiding You On the Path of Self-Healing and Flourishing
For therapy to work best, your first step is to find a therapist who matches well with you and your needs. If you are interested in taking a collaborative approach to explore your current life questions and to improve your situation, you may have found that match in me. I strive to be an empowering and trusted source of optimistic and productive approaches to problems. My specialty of performance psychology can be expanded beyond athletes and musicians, to benefit anyone who is searching for ways to improve quality of life. Please contact me to set up a phone consultation.
“A joyful life is an individual creation that cannot be copied from a recipe.”
My approach to counseling is empathic, practical and collaborative. According to the American Psychological Association, “Psychologists help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives” and that's exactly what I am aiming for. You will receive constructive feedback and pragmatic suggestions on how to enhance your quality of life. My training and experience has been broad and has included counseling individuals with a wide range of mental illness and doing performance training for musicians and athletes.
If you are a musician or athlete and are looking for help to perform better under pressure, mind-based performance strategies can offer you helpful techniques. With years of training as both a professional musician and a licensed psychologist, I have developed strategies to enhance practice effectiveness and time management, boost concentration, conquer performance anxiety and create an optimal performance profile. I specialize in helping musicians, and I also consult with individuals who are striving for excellence in the performing arts, sports, business, and general public speaking.
PSYCHOLOGY OF FLOURISHING
If you are interested in studying positive psychology and its practices, you might benefit from taking my course entitled "Psychology of Flourishing" which I am teaching through the Continuing Education Department at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. The class runs this summer of 2021 and it will examine psychology as it relates to the human potential for growth, flourishing, and resiliency. For more information, please click on the link below.
